Tessa is a 5th year Microbiology and Immunology undergraduate student at UBC. She is currently completing an 8-month co-op term in the Steidl lab. Tessa is very interested in tumor immunology and the ability of cancer cells to dictate their surrounding microenvironment. She has previously worked at the Child and Family Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Megan Levings, where her research focused on T regulatory cells and their role in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Tessa is considering obtaining a Masters Degree before potentially pursuing medicine.
