Susana Ben Neriah is a Research Assistant III in the Centre for Lymphoid Cancer (CLC) since 2007 working for the Steidl and Gascoyne labs. She holds a MSc degree in Biochemistry from the National University of Rosario, Argentina.
Before her time in the CLC, Susana has been the head of Cytogenetics in Hematology/ Oncology in Hadassah Medical Center, Israel, for 20 years.
Susana is responsible of the fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) on tissue microarrays and she applies advanced molecular cytogenetic techniques to investigate the genetic changes associated with malignant lymphoma, including multicolor karyotyping (M-FISH) and locus-specific in house probes. Using her extensive experience she is involved in multiple collaborative projects aiming at validation of new findings from next generation sequencing by conventional cytogenetic and molecular genetic methods.
